She has trouble with her BM's in the potty and for some reason as soon as we put the pull-up on her for nap and bed time, that is when she does those. I guess she is more nervous about those. She says it is "dirty" and so I just think that she is afraid she will get dirty too. We are so proud of her potty-ing skills though. Anyone having success with this?
She went to the potty out in public for the first time last Wednesday (January 5th)!!! While we were sitting at the table I said "You need to go potty" and she nodded her head. We went to potty and normally out in public, she gets a bit nervous and does not want to go. This time, she sat there with a big smile on her face and did her business! Yay for Emma Kate. We have been using M&M's as her treat since she loves them so much and so far, it is working out pretty well.

Yes, we changed it to blue and brown with some pink. I did it July 4th weekend since we had a long weekend :)
We will have to try the 10 minute or 30 minute method! I attempted to potty train Lucas over Christmas break, but there was so much going on with family! We tried for a day and he would sit on the potty forever and nothing would happen. Then he would get up off the potty and pee in his underwear! He is so interested and wants to learn, but that overwhelmed me! Your method sounds like it might work! Great job, Emma Kate!
Leanne- She did do that sometimes....where she would get off the potty and then pee-pee in her panties. Or she would tell me "pee-pee in potty" as she was going on her panties. It took a few straight days of really "training" me and her to remember to go to the potty that often. It was hard and very demanding, but we are now going in public (and let me say that we do have to interrupt dinner a few times to do it) and really making it happen. Nap time and bedtime are definitely a different story (she wears pull-ups), but we are working hard! :) Good luck and hang in there.
