2 Years Old, Oh My!

One of Emma Kate's favorite sayings is "Oh my goodness." That is exactly the way that I felt this morning when I woke up and realized that my tiny little baby is now 2. Where has all the time gone? She is doing so much these days. She makes sentences. She eats with a fork ("I poke it") and a spoon. She wants to do everything by herself and then says "help me, mommy." She can climb in and out of her bed. She loves cookies and cake.



She likes chocolate milk even more. She likes crackers. She likes hotdogs, macaroni and cheese and pizza. We are working on the veggies and lean meat. She loves art "colowing" (coloring) and using "goo" (glue). She also likes painting with finger paint. She will say "mommy, look at my fingulls" (fingers). I love her language and how she isnt afraid to try all sorts of coversations. She will climb up and down the stairs on her own if we arent careful. She is using the potty!!! We put a pull-up on her at nap and bed time, but for the most part, she goes to the potty at all other times.



Her birthday party was so much fun! We had Cocky (the gamecock mascot) come to our house! We had a bouncy thing for the kids to jump in, coloring with Cocky, and a football toss. All the little guys rode around in Emma Kate's motorized vehicles (the mustang and the 4-wheeler). Many friends and family were there to make her day SUPER special. She gave the biggest smile as everyone sang Happy Birthday to her and blew out her own candle with the help of Cocky and many attempts at blowing real hard!


Today, we had lunch with my brother (its his birthday too) and our little cousin and friend Samantha. Then, after lunch, we went to Marble Slab to enjoy birthday cake ice cream and Emma Kate had the cup with sprinkles (like a cone).









Tonight we will have Mexican to celebrate both Jarrett and Emma Kate's birthdays and then we will call it a day. Happy Birthday to the sweetest little two year old I know! The past two years have been the best of my life!
