Halloween!

 A few weeks ago, we went to our local Farmer's Market to pick out a pumpkin.  The girls had a good time.  Emelia was so amazed at all of the pumpkins.  She kept pointing to them and and would babble.  Emma Kate liked the pumpkins that were painted pink and walked all around to pick just the perfect one.  I sat the girls on the pumpkins and got some sweet pictures.

Last Sunday, we went to Boo at the Zoo.  It was a really fun time.  It was my first time taking the girls and I think that we all enjoyed ourselves.  There was a trick-or-treat lane that was set up.  Several different "stations" were set-up all throughout the zoo.  So, although it was dark outside, you could see the animals.  Quite interesting.

 We went with my mom (my dads foot is still healing), Jerry's parents, Jerry, and Olivia.  Both girls were just so excited to see all of the lights set up and all of the different events that were available.  There was a Frankenstein Foam section set up, but everyone decided that the girls would get too messy to walk around on a cool night.  There was also a DJ with dance area, roasting marshmellow pit, singing pumpkins, and the rides were all still available.  The girls had a great time getting to experience a little bit of everything!

On Tuesday, there was a Fall Parade and Party at Emma Kate's school.  They got to parade around the school in their costumes.  It was so cute getting to see all the little ones waving their hands and giggling to themselves.  After the parade, they enjoyed a fun party with chicken nuggets, pretzels, fruit, cupcakes and WAY too much candy!  Emma Kate was so happy to wear her costume to school.

On Halloween, we went to Trunk or Treat at Emma Kate's school instead of going to our church event. Her school is located at our friends church and their girls were also going to be there and since it was going to last a little longer, we decided to go there instead.  I think the girls had so much fun.  Emelia was pointing to balloons and saying "bawl"  and would point to the jack o'lanterns that were all set up and just grin from ear-to-ear.  She was SO excited.  Emma Kate saw her friend, there, and they just ran up to one another and gave a big hug.  It's my best friends little girl, so of course it made my heart melt.  So good to see that they are such good friends.

After the trunk or treat we went to eat at Rush's and had a great family night.  The girls fell asleep on the way home and mommy and daddy were in bed shortly after getting home!
