Our First Halloween!

First we went to the Farmer's Market and picked out our pumpkin.




Then, we came home and carved it.






Our first Halloween was quite the busy one! First off, that was also on a Saturday so and it was a Carolina away game, which means that we had a get together at our house. So, I had to prepare dips and a clean house for our guests as well as preparing our little munchkin for her night of trick-or-treating (aka- my moms and my in-laws house).





Even though the day was exhausting, it was so MUCH fun! I dressed little Emma Kate into her ladybug costume and then we headed off to my moms where my cousin and aunt were also. While we were there my other cousin and his little boys showed up! They were so cute. There was a hippy, a carolina football player and spider man.
Emma Kate got a pumpkin full of mum-mums, apple wheels, puffs and lil crunchers. She was thrilled to pieces. She even enjoyed reaching into the candy dish while Nana was holding her to get her own pieces of candy (I ate those!) After that, we went to Jerry's parents and then back to our house for the football game.

Since it was in the 80's on Halloween, here in the south, we had to get Emma Kate out of her tights, shoes and coat of a costume! The girl was burning up, poor little thing. She got changed into her cheerleader outfit and helped us to celebrate with beaufort stew, spooky pasta salad, cupcakes for Brad's birthday, skewers and a great pizza dip.
